Our Charter Organization is We Who Care of Marion County Inc., a non-profit organization. We offer a variety of programs for the handicapped citizens of Marion County Florida. Troop 331 has been chartered for over 12 years. We thank the Boy Scouts of America for allowing us to provide this program for guys who would not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy the Scouting experience. Our guys are proud to be Scouts, they love to wear their uniform and participate in all the activities they plan throughout the year. The guys in Troop 331 prove that using the Patrol Method is a successful way to teach leadership. We have 2 patrols, Owl and Cobra.
Weekly meetings are held every Monday night, 6:30 at ARC on Maricamp Road. We spend 1/2 hour walking or exercising, with the opening ceremony at 7PM. We welcome responsible adult volunteers who enjoy the outdoors and working with special needs citizens. You can be male or female and you must be screened by our committee. Camping, hiking, boating, enjoying nature, along with learning basic outdoor skills and leadership are all part of our program. Don't be shy, our guys aren't!
